SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL PROGRAM

Our local language institutions offer the opportunity to our guests to enrich their tours in Spain through the Spanish courses, which also include free time activities and culture.

AVILA IS A PERFECT CITY FOR OUR PROGRAM

Avila (63,000 inhabitants), known as the World Heritage City, is situated in the center of Spain, just one hour from Madrid. Other historical cities like Salamanca, Segovia, Toledo and Valladolid are situated not far away from Avila. The city offers an ideal environment in order to enrich our program with unique and authentic experiences that help us to learn more about Spain and their people.

The spectacular city walls of Avila is the most exciting monument that makes the city look like an enormous medieval fortress. Avila is a perfect place to study Spanish and to learn more about Spain. Our students can obtain the language knowledge or improve it through the classes or lectures in Spanish, travels, stay in the host families, in a very safe and attractive atmosphere.

SPANISH COURSE

The teaching method aims at communication and combines grammar and communication. The material for teaching Spanish is worked out exactly for our students and is used together with other lecture, script, grammatical and conversation materials.

All the activities of the program take into consideration the four main language components and skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Therefore, grammar and vocabulary is, besides pragmatics with its aspects concerning culture and customs, the most important part of the program.

The most outstanding part of the instruction is always providing communicative skills, which help the participants to know what and how to say in every situation and not to feel like tourists in Spain. The program includes the orientation towards Spain and its people in order to learn more about the country, its culture and traditions. Due to the ambience of the cultural immersion students are able to practice Spanish in real situations like in a tapas bar or during the trips in the surroundings.

To guarantee a high level of the program, we collaborate only with a centre of recognized quality. Our school in Avila has been working in the field of teaching since 20 years and now has a rich experience. It is an accredited centre by Spanish government (Cervantes Institute) and has other awards and quality signs.

The week courses are divided into 20 classes. During five days of the course students are able to reach a higher level. Besides, the courses are complemented by the cultural and free time activities as well as gastronomy, visits and traditions.

METHOD OF THE PROGRAM

The process of teaching and learning is concentrated on the social function of the language in order to increase and improve the interaction between students and the surrounding ambience. This interaction is based on the fitting the students into local community.

SPANISH PROFESSORS

All our Spanish professors are experienced and trained in the teaching Spanish for foreign students. They are graduates and specialists in the field of teaching, Spanish language, literature, arts, geography and history. They guarantee a progress in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

EVALUATION

On arrival at our school or even before students gets a questionnaire allowing to know more about their Spanish level. Besides we offer continuous evaluation to guarantee the adequate progress. To maintain the control over the academic achievements of the students, we realize also a final evaluation. The program is worked out in such a way that you can continue studying the language in your own country.

CERTIFICATE

At the end of the program students receive a certificate about their language level.
